GETTING TO DERRY / LONDONDERRY

By Car

From Belfast: Take the M2 until you reach the M22 and follow this onto the A6 (signposted for Derry / Londonderry). From here follow the directions directly into Derry / Londonderry.

From Dublin: Take the M1 onto the N2 exit (signposted for Derry / Londonderry). Continue onto the A5 and follow the directions directly into Derry / Londonderry.

From Galway: Take the N17 (Tuam Road) until you reach the N4. From the N4 head towards Sligo. From Sligo take the N15 and follow the directions directly into Derry / Londonderry. 

From Cork: Take the N8 until you reach the M8 and from here continue onto the M7. From here continue onto the N7, then onto the M50 into Dublin. From Dublin follow the directions as above.

By Train

From Belfast: rail is a convenient way to reach Derry / Londonderry from Belfast. Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) operates multiple train journeys daily from Belfast to Derry / Londonderry. www.translink.co.uk

From Dublin, Galway and Cork: trains operate from Galway and Cork via Irish Rail (Iarnrόd Eireann) to Dublin. From Dublin Irish Rail operates multiple trains daily to Belfast. www.irishrail.ie

By Bus

From Belfast: travel by bus is one of the simplest ways of reaching Derry / Londonderry. Ulsterbus offers frequent daily services as well as from other parts of Northern Ireland. www.translink.co.uk

Ulsterbus also operates standard and direct services from the major airports; Belfast International Airport and George Best City Airport into Belfast City Centre.

From Dublin, Galway and Cork: travelling by bus is direct from these cities to Belfast’s Europa Station.

Ulsterbus also operates hourly direct services from Dublin City Airport daily. Additionally, there are daily services from Dublin City Airport to Derry City Centre.

By Plane

The City of Derry Airport is located 7 miles north-east of Derry on the main A2 Derry to Coleraine road. www.cityofderryaiport.com There are daily flights from Dublin with Aer Arann (www.aerarran.ie)

The Airporter service provides direct coach connections between the two Belfast Airports and Derry/Londonderry. The PEF committee has agreed a discount for delegates. Belfast International Airport is 60 miles from Derry / Londonderry and is easily traveled by car, train or bus. www.belfastairport.com

Belfast City Airport is 75 miles from Derry / Londonderry and is easily traveled by car, train or bus. www.belfastcityairport.com
